soo, it is hot and i am tired! even though im eating 3 times a day, i better be losing weight with all the walking im doing!
today i saw the residence (or palace) of munich which was fab, then i went to an art exhibit before lunch. it had some of monet and van gouhs work which was great. i also spent the day in a giant park. i had a picnic on a hill and people watched. it was soo fun! anyways i want to talk to my mom but heres the schedule;

saturday all day on the train to lyon!!!
i will be in lyon almost a week, yay!

Heidelberg update
Hey guys! I tried uploading my Heidelberg video and it didnt work; uploading pictures is just as difficult. Anyways, Heidelberg was beautiful, very much a smaller more German version of Prague with an old town, bridge and castle. ahh, i onlz have 5 minutes to write (internet is going fast). anyways, i cant skype because of the internet; i dont have my laptop and most places dont have skype and its expensive.
but, i am in munich for the next day and a half. its very diverse in its culture here, im surprised at how many people there are. Im going to Fussen the day after tomorrow, then back to munich for a night to catch a train to Lyon early the next day. Gotta run, internet is out! love you all and no, i havent found any neat gifts yet!

Really Tired!
hello all,
Well, I safely landed in Berlin today around 130 and it has been quite an afternoon. The train ride wasn't bad, about 5 hours but the countryside was beautiful to look at. Umm, no problems with the trains stations or anything, but it was a hassle once i got to the city. I wasn't sure which way to leave the giant station in order to go the right way to get to a hostel, so i ended up carrying my extremely heavy backpack around town for half an hour, it was agony! thankfully, i was directed to the perfect place to stay for the weekend, some hostel in the middle of the city. Its very clean and not too expensive, so im happy with that.
So far, Berlin is a nice city. Im not too worried about my safety, and since im traveling alone im not planning on going out in the dark, so less problems there. However, maybe its just me, but Berlin isnt all its cracked up to be. I know its only been one day, and i will be here for a couple more days, but overall prague is a much better city. More sights to see, more things to do, better parks, but anyways. tomorrow im going to see the berlin wall and whatever else peaks my interest, but i feel i may enjoy going to other cities in germany a little more. it just feels like a big US city with a couple of older buildings; if you personally love berlin sorry i dont really feel the same way. but its a good starting point for my travels at least.
anyways, i dont know if ill get online while im still here in berlin, i may wait until the next stopping point to chime in.

It's been a while...
Hey gang! So, the plans are set and I'm leaving the country this Friday morning!
My first stop is Berlin. I plan on spending about a week and a half in Germany, then France for two weeks, then an 8 day pass to the UK, back to Paris to meet up with my mom! Anyways, I hope to be blogging along the way; from what I can tell most cities have internet so I'd like to post pictures and videos as I go (cross your fingers). But this will be my last post for a few days since I am putting away my bigger luggage and laptop at my new apartment for the next two months.
Thanks so much for tuning in, it's been fun blogging with you. Please send me emails, let me know how you're doing and what the new scoop is. Please PLEASE keep me in your prayers, for the time being I am traveling solo and will be on my guard. Thanks again for keeping up with me and I hope to hear from ya'll soon!

YAAAAAAAAAAA!

I officially have a job! Yay! So, in the TEFL program, you can get one of three passes: pass 1 (excellent pass with job guarantee) pass 2 (good pass, no guarantees on a job) and pass 3 (you got the certificate, now get out of our hair). I got a pass 1! Me and one other girl were the only ones of the 5 to get this, and I did not see it coming. I didn't think I was doing that well, but apparently my hard work paid off!
I asked the school if I could start work in Sept. (they wanted me immediately) because I haven't had my proper vacation since before graduating from college (Fripp 2010 rocked my world). So, right now, I am in the process of planning out my trip. I'm still really happy that now, I officially have a job, officially have a place to live and officially am done with lots of ridiculousness! anyways, that's all for now, I promise I'm coming up with a catch-phrase to end my blogs Jenna!

Its gonna be close to 100 degrees this weekend!
ok, i'm doing a lot better than before! here's a quick update:
1-i got a czech charger for my computer. it was a little expensive but it is the correct adapter for my computer and now i don't have to use a converter when i plug in my laptop!
2- its been really hot and humid here, it'll be around 100 degrees F tomorrow! just like home...
3- TEFL training is over! yay! i will have a better idea of job offers a week from now.
4-no word yet on the visa, i have to stay in prague till its all sorted, possibly beginning of july i will go traveling
5-MOM is definitely coming to Europe in August (1 month of us traveling to France, Spain, Italy and finally Prague) its super awesome! I'll have one month of traveling solo, than 1 month of mom/daughter bonding time.
6-i will be turning 23 next month, so start working on your awesome presents for me! haha, just kidding. but, if anyone is interested in giving me something, maybe make a video or something wishing me happy birthday. i'll be traveling so, it'd be nice to use internet in a cafe and see a fun video of yall (just a thought!)
anyways, i'm gonna run, i have a jazz club i have to get ready for tonight, lots of fun!

No laptop currently, so no skype dates right now!
heres the update, be warned this is just mean complaining:
the charger for my laptop got fried. i think i've been inserting the charger into the socket incorrectly, so i had to order a new one. it will be possibly 2 weeks till it comes in (which means so skype and i will only get to emails at school which is 30 min. from my flat right now, sorry guys). i'm really aggravated right now, with lack of communication with yall and the craziness that is my last day of TEFL.
also, i won't know if i have a job with the school or not until (maybe) next week. itsn't that great news. i still haven't heard back about my work permit, so who knows when i'll be heading out for europe travels, it might be never....
*i apologize again for the complaining, but its been a very very irritating week for me. and since i have no punching bag to work on, my blog will just have to do.
one thing that may be nice to note on is i met a potenetial roommate and place to live in sept.
(assuming i have work). because prague is an expensive place to live, the best deals i could find involved sharing a flat with a roommate. i met my first one yesterday, and from what i've looked into, this may be the definite one, but i'm figuring out my options first before signing anything.
the flat is maybe a 5 minute walk from old town square, and very close to everything else! its in a safe part of town on a quiet street. furnished, hallway, kitchen with full equiptment use and table, bathroom and shower, and a very big shared living area including my own desk, window, and lots of closet space (all utilties included). Sandra (a Slovakian student) is about my age and extremely bright. she is fluent in english, spanish and knows Slovakian and a little German. She is very nice, easy-going and loves to travel when she isn't working (her family lives 2 hours for Budapest). from our first meeting i could tell we would have no major problems living together, we both seem like easy-going people who have work to get done but also want to have fun on the weekends. but again, i won't decide anything until next week when i have a better idea of my work/visa situation.
anyways, i'm really frusterated about the computer, but what the heck can i do about it? please be nice about the "no skype" thing, i just don't have the means to do it. anyways, if you have a free minute, please say a prayer for me about work/visa/travel stuff, i feel like busting my head against the wall. i hope this perky blog made your day, again, sorry about the intense sarcasm.

Add comments to my blog, does it suck or not?
I hope my title doesn't put yall off, it's meant to be funny. Let me know what you think of this, it helps me know whose actually reading these things!
Anyways, ONE WEEK LEFT OF TEFL! No, it hasn't flown by past, it's actually been a slow, grueling process. I haven't posted in a while because 1) I've been too busy with work 2) my work has made my life in Prague not so eventful or interesting.
I have tons to do this week, first I have to plan/finish many assignments for tomorrow AND finish a lesson for my one-on-one student tonight (its more practice teaching, I have to do this for the course so I don't get paid, yay...) Besides that, I am hoping this week they will tell me (latest next week) that I have a job BECAUSE I am flat hunting as we speak. I'm meeting with a young girl wednesday evening to look at her place (we'd be roommates but its a great location and cheaper that way) but nothing is set in stone yet. I'm just looking at my options, I'd like to live on my own but it'd be a lot harder to do that here.
My European adventure is going to have to wait for a week or two; my Czech visa process will take a little time and I am not allowed to leave the country until its all taken care of. So, hopefully, late June I can set out. I'm starting to figure out a rough sketch of my travels (Germany, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, up to UK, back to Paris, Spain French Rivera, Italy, maybe Greece and back to Prague) Something like that.
Now, this is not set in stone, its more like a hopeful rumor, but I might be joined halfway through my travels by the Betsy Smith!!!! I think as long as she can convince my dad to come, she'll do it. Again, I'm not trying to get my hopes up if it doesn't happen, but I mean it when I say it would be awesome!
Well, that's all for now, I have tons to do and want to be on the ball this week; this entire process has been important to me because I want to make a good impression, so staying on top of the work helps. Anyways, I'll update you probably next weekend, this week will be crazy and I'm sure I'll have lots to share.
